To celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 90th Birthday Lyn Richardson our Kitchen Manager and her team put a on fabulous feast for our children and staff.
We had a wonderful roast beef dinner served with new and roast potatoes, season vegetables, yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes. We each enjoyed not one, not two, but three puddings!!! A custard cream biscuit, scones with cream and jam and victoria sponge all washed down with a summer fruit punch.
It certainly was a feast fit for a queen!
- A wonderful lunch
- Happy Birthday!
Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 pupils who took part in the Rotary Primary Football Tournament on Saturday. Paddle Academy had three teams taking part.
All three teams played some brilliant football, demonstrated true sportsmanship and worked well together as a team. Paddle B team reached the semi finals but unfortunately lost. But, Congratulations to Paddle A team, who reached the Final and beat Dean School 1-0 to be the overall tournament winners.
Our Year 6 Football Players won the Primary School Cluster Football Tournament yesterday, beating Lorton Primary 4 -1 in the final.
Our beautiful Bicentenary Tree Sculpture has arrived!
Designed by the Year 6 Class of 2014/15 and produced by Fab Lab.
Come to the school foyer and have a look.
Our Year 6 children have been writing to various companies and individuals to secure ‘Lots’ for the PCA Charity Auction to be held on Thursday 5th May.
We have had lots of generous donations to date from parents, local businesses and the local community. This morning we received a really exciting donation from Adele’s record company XL Recordings. Erin in Year 6 had contacted Adele and she has donated an original plaque awarded to her, in person, by MTV in 2011 in recognition of in excess of 20,000 plays of ‘Rolling in the Deep’ by MTV. Well done Erin!
We hope you can attend our auction to see and bid on some of these great Lots on 5th May

Today KS and Mrs Fulton have been talking to the children about how to deal with inappropriate content online. They taught the children about film and computer game classifications and what they mean. Alongside this the children learnt about peer-pressure and how to deal with difficult situations through role play with KS.
A letter to outline today’s Kidsafe session has been sent home in book bags… please take a look.
And don’t forget to find time to talk to your child about their learning today.
Thank! Miss Thornbery
